33 libraries were established and handed over to respective authorities in 33 schools of Sankhuwasabha by Lions Manaram Foundation 2005 Nepal on the 7 th of Baisakh, 2073 on a program held in the District Development Committee’s conference room in Khadbari. The event was chaired by Acting Chairperson Mr. Sujan Kumar Shrestha and Chief District Officer Mr. Ganga Bahadur Chhetri. Patron Mrs. Mana Maya Shrestha also presided in the event.

 A provision has been made for the schools with Manaram libraries in a way that the interest received from the fixed deposit amount of Rs.100,000 in Rastriya Banijya Bank, out of which Rs. 90,000 has been financed by the foundation and Rs. 10,000 from the school, will be utilized in the libraries’ benefits. Furthermore, books worth Rs.35,000 were also purchased and handed over to the schools as per their request.

Certificates were distributed to the successful participants of the 3-day School Library Management Training by Chief District Officer, Mr. Ganga Bahadur Chhetri. The handing over of libraries was carried out by the Patron and Chief Guest along with other guests.

District Education Officer Mr. Tanka Prasad Gautam, Local Development Officer Mr. Krishna Prasad Subedi and Chief District Officer Mr. Ganga Bahadur Chhetri expressed well wishes and prosperity, preservation and proper management of the libraries.

Chairman Mr. Sujan Kumar Shrestha concluded the program with a vote of thanks. Said program lasted a total of 3 hours and various artists presented their skills with dance, music and cultural shows.
