Lions Manaram Foundation has been actively involved in promoting children’s overall development through music. The foundation has been organizing Manaram Kopila Idol, a singing competition for children up to the 10th grade in Khadbari, Sankhuwasabha District since 24th Shrawan. This competition is possibly the first of its kind in the district and is aimed at recognizing talent in creativity and participation while also conserving music and arts heritage.
The competition, which had participants from Bhojpur and Sankhuwasabha districts, was organized in collaboration with the children’s production team at Khadbari FM. The auditions, which ran for 3 months, saw rigorous competition, and the final round was held on Krishna Janmashtami, the 19th of Bhadra, 2072.
The event was a great success, and Unique Kulung, Rinji Lhamu Bhutia, and Sudesh Rai emerged as the winners, taking home cash prizes of Rs. 33,000, Rs. 15,000, and Rs. 11,000, respectively. The Lions Manaram Foundation is proud to have been able to provide a platform for children to showcase their talents and hopes to continue to support such initiatives in the future.
